ACA Accreditation

Virginia Correctional Enterprises (VCE) is proud to report that the Commission on Accreditation of the American Correctional Association (ACA) voted to fully accredit VCE on March 16, 2021.

ACA accreditation is part of VCE’s commitment to excellence through continuous improvement and ongoing compliance with the ACA Performance-Based Standards for Correctional Industries which include life, health, and safety standards as it pertains to staff and inmates.

The ACA Accreditation process promotes improvement in the management of correctional agencies through the administration of a voluntary accreditation program and the ongoing development and revision of relevant, useful standards. The standards, created and continuously refined by the ACA, represent leading correctional policies, procedures, and practices across all areas of operation.

The Lunenburg plant features multiple lines of office seating and case goods furniture. By utilizing inmate manpower, the cost of our product is lowered without losing quality and we are able to provide the inmate with marketable skills, which enhance their chance of a successful re-entry into society upon their release.
